Counter Strike leverages IQ technology to improve upon classic trading breakout concepts. When a significant resistance level is broken - an exploitable breakout can occur and, when a significant support level is broken - an exploitable downside breakout can occur.

For price to sustain an uptrend and reach new highs, existing resistance levels must break. For price to sustain a downtrend and reach new lows, existing support levels must break. If historical support and resistance levels never break prices will be forced into an infinitely narrowing range - which never happens.

Ultimately, historical turning points will fail to hold at some point and, when they do fail, traders who had previously entered at the turning point, and those who are looking to trade in favor of the turning point, will be forced out of their positions - causing a price breakout.
